Indexes for periapical health evaluation - A review

Assessment of periapical health is important for the diagnosis, treatment planning and evaluation endodontic outcome. Radiographic status teeth most common modality used assessing condition. Therefore, different radiographic indexes have been developed, which are widely in clinical epidemiological studies. With advances imaging, three-dimensional imaging techniques using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) very popular now. Indexes based on CBCT analyses condition tooth planes found to give more accurate assessment conditions compared conventional radiography. This review aims summarize developed health.
